CBS’ Beverly Hills Cop is now in full production and writer/executive producer Shawn Ryan took to twitter to send the world a photo of Eddie Murphy and Brandon T. Jackson posing on set.

This marks Murphy’s return back to TV since his stretch on Saturday Night Live back in 1980 to 1984. This will be Brandon’s first contract TV role, but has proven his skills in films such as, Tropical Thunder and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son. | Full Story

Looks like everyone wants to call Margo Martindale “mom” these days. Martindale was recently cast in a new CBS television series where she’ll play mother to Will Arnett.

The proposed new CBS comedy series snatched Will Arnett from his flailing NBC comedy, Up All Night. Per TheHollywood Reporter, the actor will play a recent divorcee whose world is turned upside down when his own parents split as well. Martindale’s character moves in with her ailing son shortly after her husband of 43 years decides to take off too. | Full Story

Rachelle Lefevre Joins Stephen King’s ‘Under The Dome’ TV Adaptation

Rachelle Lefevre isn’t yet a household name, but perhaps after appearing in the highly anticpated new summer series, Under The Dome, she will be.

You might know Lefevre better as the vampire with a grudge, “Victoria,” from the Twilight series. Lefevre also appeared in the short lived ABC series Off The Map and CBS’s A Gifted Man opposite Patrick Wilson.

Former leading man My Name is Earl star, Jason Lee, has a new role to fill in prime time. Lee is set to play the lead in the upcoming drama for CBS titled Second Sight. 

The show is based on the British series with the same title that aired in early 2000. According to Deadline, Second Sight is described as a Gothic psychological thriller that is centered around a man named Tanner (played by Lee), who is the lead detective with the New Orleans Police Department who has a secret he is hiding. | Full Story

Looks like the former Buffy star has a new role in prime-time. Sarah Michelle Gellar has recently been cast in Robin Williams upcoming CBS comedy Crazy Ones.

The comedy is the work of David E. Kelley, who is known for the beloved long running Ally McBeal, and will take place in an office setting. Gellar will play opposite of Robin Williams as his daughter and the antics they get into in an advertising agency. | Full Story

Jeff Probst is probably happy he kept his prime time job after hearing the news today from CBS executives about his talk show, The Jeff Probst Show.

CBS TV Distribution made the decision to pull the plug on the show after just one season. In a recent statement CBS shared said, “We believe Jeff is an incredible talent, and that his dedicated producing team delivered quality episodes throughout the season. Dylan McDermott To Star In New Jerry Bruckheimer Pilot

Dylan McDermott will star alongside Toni Collette in Jerry Bruckheimer’s newest drama series, Hostages. 

The new show revolves around Ellen (Collette), a successful surgeon chosen to operate on President of the United States. Her husband and children are taken hostage in a political conspiracy and it’s up to Ellen to save them. McDermott plays Duncan, an upstanding FBI agent at the center of the conspiracy involving the President. According to Deadline.com,”his role will come as a surprise.”

Sunday nights’ Super Bowl XLVII brawl between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers brought in the third highest rating for the annual sports broadcast and third highest-viewed television program in U.S. history.

The CBS broadcast of the 47th bowl game brought in an estimated 108.4 million viewers. That is 3% lower than last year’s NBC broadcast of Super Bowl XLVI, that saw the New York Giants earn their 4th Super Bowl Championship title against the New England Patriots. | Full Story
