Shirley MacLaine Will Be Coming Back to ‘Downton Abbey’

Hollywood living legend  Shirley MacLaine, will be returning to the PBS British period drama Downton Abbey next season.

MacLaine will be returning as Martha Levinson. However, MacLaine will not be the only new cast addition to the critically acclaimed drama. The show’s executives announced yesterday that six new cast members will be added starting next season.

This includes opera star Dame Kiri Te Kanawa as a guest who sings in the house and Welch stage actor Tom Cullen. | Full Story

Hugh Laurie in Talks to Play Villain in ‘Tomorrowland’

Hugh Laurie is currently in negotiations to play the main antagonist opposite George Clooney in the highly anticipated yet vaguely known about science-fiction film Tomorrowland, according to a recent report from The Guardian.

Back in November, George Clooney landed a role in a mysterious film called 1952, the only details known being that Brad Bird would direct and that Damon Lindelof, with Jeff Jensen, had penned the script. | Full Story

Doctor Who‘s latest incarnation, Matt Smith, will be taking on the big screen once again in Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut, How to Chatch A Monster.

Chris Pratt has been cast as lead character, Star Lord, the films part-human part-alien leader of the upcoming  Guardians of the Galaxy.

Guardians of the Galaxy originated from a series that began in the late 1960′s and focused on a super-powered team of humans, aliens and bio-engineered creatures who patrol the milky way. The film is part of Marvel’s phase-two plan that was introduced last year at Comic-Con. | Full Story

Michael Keaton Joins ‘Need For Speed’ Adaptation

Dreamworks’ Need For Speed adaptation has picked up a former Batman for a supporting role, and we’re not talking about Val Kilmer or George Clooney. That’s right folks, Michael Keaton has hopped on board the eagerly awaited production.

Need For Speed has already claimed such names as Aaron Paul and Kid Cudi, with an equally talented Dominic Cooper also in the mix. The Hollywood Reporter claims Michael Keaton will play “a reclusive and eccentric host of an underground super car race where he invites the best drivers from around the world.”

1999′s Muppets From Space actually saw Ray Liotta play a security guard alongside the furry puppets, and the experience touched him so deeply that he’s back for a second helping.
