Captain America: The Winter Soldier begins production in Los Angeles today, and to celebrate, Marvel has released the first behind the scenes photo and some plot details about the upcoming sequel.

In the very unrevealing photo we see Chris Evans‘ Captain America with his iconic shield in tote as he stares at the wall of some S.H.I.E.L.D. emblem-ed facility. Although we learn nothing new from the promo pic, the official logline that accompanies it reveals Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as Black Widow and play a major part in the film. | Full Story

Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow and Nick Fury assemble to smash the domestic revenue record with a $200.3 million opening!

This makes The Avengers the biggest opening ever, sky-rocketing past the previous record holder, Harry Potter’s, $169.2 million opening.

The Avengers added another $151.5 million from overseas ticket sales to bring its grand total to $441.5 million. That brings the film’s worldwide take to $641.8 million in just under two weeks. | Full Story

Marvel is quickly going to release the DVD of ‘Captain America: The First Avenger.’ Today, the production company decided to give the fans a treat as they released one of the deleted scenes that will appear on the dvd. In the deleted scene below you will see Steve Rogers, James Buchanan and Gabe Jones on the battle field engaging in enemy commandos. Notice the rough shot without color-corrections and missing FX.

Tony Stark will return in Iron Man 3, rumored for release in 2013. The movie will merge  into the Marvel timeline after the showing of the anticipated Avengers movie. The movie will act as a sequel to The Avengers, and spark a round of Marvel movies that lead to Avengers 2. The list of movies may also include another Thor or Captain America movie.
