Christina Hendricks Lands Lead In ‘A Book Of Common Prayer’

Mad Men starlet Christina Hendricks has signed on to play the lead role in the movie adaptation of Joan Didion’s 1977 novel, A Book of Common Prayer.

Hendrick’s will play Charlotte Douglas, an American mother in search of her 19-year old fugitive daughter, Marin. Charlotte travels to the fictional country of Boca Grande in Central America in hopes of finding Marin, however is thrust into a country on the brink of revolution. | Full Story

Sony Pictures has released an extended 4 minute preview for the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man. This time around, the story goes deeper into Peter Parker’s life and the way he became an orphan.

The film uses narration taken from the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book, with the backstory of Oscorp being owned by its classic villain Norman Osborn. The movie also shows how the Oscorp company has direct ties to Parker’s parents and Osborn’s past. | Full Story

A new international trailer was released by Sony Pictures for the The Amazing Spider Man. This trailer includes more footage of the action sequences than the trailer before. The film will be coming to theaters everywhere July 3rd. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
