Britney Spears has managed to pull herself up from a downward spiral, but staying out of the lime light for all the wrong reasons may have gone all wrong for the princess of pop. According to sources, Spears was given the boot from Fox’s singing competition show X-Factor because her more mature personality was not a good fit for the series.

It appears producers of the show, including Simon Cowell, are unhappy with the singers performance on Season 2 of the show.  A source told Us Weekly “Cowell was expecting to get this crazy Britney Spears that people saw unravel over the past few years. | Full Story

Fox’s hit show, The X Factor, loses judge, L.A. Reid. It is unknown who will replace Reid, but is known that he was not “let go” like a few other judges that won’t be named… (Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger).

L.A. Reid told Access Hollywood, “I have decided that I will not return to The X Factor next year.” The CEO and chairman of Epic Records went on to say, “I have to go back and I have a company to run that I’ve kind of neglected and it saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit.” L.A. | Full Story

‘X Factor’ Renewed For Third Season

Looks like three is a lucky number for TV series right now. Following on the heels of Homeland’s recent renewal, The Hollywood Reporter also tells us that Fox’s The X Factor has also been picked up for a third season.

This also comes as no real surprise considering the recent decision to add even MORE celebrities to the shows’ payroll. Following the uber successful additions of new super celebrity judges, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez make their debut as co-hosts on November 1. | Full Story

Just before X Factor and The Voice are set to air their season premieres, the rivalry between the two music competition shows has reached fever pitch.

In a move apparently aimed at sabotaging the The X Factor’s September 12th Season 2 opener, NBC announced it would air a special Wednesday installment of The Voice next week.

Following the announcement, X Factor creator, Simon Cowell, responded with some harsh words, citing a “gentleman’s agreement” between programs. | Full Story
