Brad Pitt The Hippie-ish Cool Dude Signs On To War Movie ‘Fury’

brad pitt - hippie cool dude

Although some people, like Kristen Dunst, consider him a hippie cool dude with a nasty kiss, Brad Pitt has no qualms playing a violent bad ass character in a war movie.

The Inglorious Bastards actor, who also starred in the Fight Club and Kick Ass films, is currently in the final stages of negotiations for a lead role in the David Ayer-directed World War II thriller, Fury.

The film is set in Europe during the final days of the Third Reich. | Full Story

Kirsten Dunst Disgusted By Brad Pitt ‘Vampire’ Kiss

kirsten dunst brad pitt in 'interview with a vampire'

Brad Pitt is all hype – at least this is the conclusion Kristen Dunst came to after receiving her first kiss from the heartthrob at the tender young age of 11.

In Interview With The Vampire, the film adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel, Dunst played Claudia, a young girl who became lunch for vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac, played by Pitt.

The script of 1994′s film called for a Brad Pitt Kristen Dunst kiss, and as the actress told Bullett magazine in its Spring 2013 issue, she thought Brad was cool, but his kiss wasn’t all that. | Full Story

Box Office Report: Brad Pitt’s ‘Killing Them Softly’ Flunks

brad pitt killing them softly

Brad Pitt’s Killing Them Softly had a soft opening nationwide this past weekend, earning a reserved F CinemaScore with viewers and landing at number seven on the box office chart. The film becomes only the eighth movie ever to receive the rare failing grade. Wow! Even though the film cost only $15 million to make, it opened to a mediocre $7 million, which is considered a disappointing number.

Killing Them Softly is based on hit-man Jackie Cogan(Pitt), who is paid to investigate a robbery at a mob poker game. | Full Story

Trailer for ‘World War Z’ is More Like World War zzzzzzzzz

world-war-z-trailer-teaser

This is the kind of world we live in, where I can run articles about trailers for zombie movies two days in a row. Anyway…

World War Z, after a development that moved slower than the shambling of the undead, is finally set for a release next June. And yesterday, a trailer was set loose on the web. So how does it look?

To me… not terribly interesting. The book on which the film is based (which is okay) put a new spin on the zombie genre by focusing on a worldwide struggle between humans and zombies. | Full Story

David Fincher Set For ’20,000 Leagues Under the Sea’ with Brad Pitt

David Fincher Brad Pitt

Reports have been surfacing left and right online claiming David Fincher‘s next feature project will not be a follow-up to last year’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but an adaptation of Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

After his Oscar winning duo of both Dragon Tattoo and The Social Network, David Fincher has been quite coy in choosing his next project. One is fair in assuming that, since his success in adapting Steig Larsson’s first novel, it would make perfect sense for Fincher to move on to adapting the next in the series. | Full Story

image-3

Killing Them Softly, which stars Brad Pitt as a slick professional enforcer (and made our list of Most Anticipated Movies Coming to Theaters This Fall), just debuted six new posters. Oh, did I just say six posters? I meant six extremely awesome, stylish, custom designed pieces of art I’d like hanging on my wall.

Designed by Gravillis Inc., whose work you might recognize from their striking campaign for Oliver Stone’s Savages and the Inglourious Basterds character posters, these posters emphasize the film’s political commentary on the greed and violence endemic in American society. | Full Story
