Christopher Nolan Hangs Up the Cape and Cowl

Christpher Nolan 2

Christopher Nolan hasn’t wasted any time in letting audiences know his role in the very recent (and very lucrative) Batman trilogy has concluded with The Dark Knight Rises. A recent article from TotalFilm.com has claimed the famed director’s story regarding Bruce Wayne and crime fighting has ultimately finished.

Christopher Nolan is the director of such hits as Memento, Inception, The Prestige, and of course, the trilogy comprised of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. | Full Story

Rumor: Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Play Batman?

JGL Dark Knight

Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s name has been dropped to play Batman in Justice League, the next superhero flick requiring big budgets and even bigger names. The rumor, unconfirmed of course, comes from the prominent blog of Drew McWeeny, who used a bit of critical thinking along with unspecified sources to draw this somewhat wild conclusion.

“They’re a long way from filming anything Justice League related,” wrote McWeeny, “but they appear to be solidifying deals for Gordon-Levitt and, potentially, at least one other actor from the Nolan films to do… something.”

“They,” of course refers to Warner Bros., the studio responsible for putting the DC heroes together in (hopefully) the same fashion as The Avengers. | Full Story

Armie Hammer Eyed For WB’s ‘Justice League’ Batman

justice-league-movie-1

A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, Warner Bros. was planning a ‘Justice League’ movie and a then-unknown Armie Hammer was cast as Batman. The only problem was: Christian Bale was already Batman. Fans balked at having multiple universe Batmen. Then came the writer’s strike, and the project was shut down indefinitely. Then came Marvel’s slew of superhero films, and it seemed any attempt to relaunch DC Comics’ superhero super team would seem like riding Marvel’s coattails. | Full Story

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Earns An Estimated $160 Million Despite The Horrific Movie Shooting…

Dark Knight Rises Earns An Estimated $160 Million

The Dark Knight Rises was on pace to make $160 million in the box office, which would be a record for 2-D films, but figures are uncertain due the mass shooting at a theater showing the Batman film in Aurora, Colorado.

Other media outlets have made some guesses that despite the incident, the film still earned $160 to $162 million.

If those numbers are correct, that amount would beat The Dark Knight debut in 2008 of $158.4 million. | Full Story

New photos hit the web showing Commissioner Gorden clutching a glock 9 and displaying a terrifying look, a nice detailed close up of Batman’s costume, and another one with Batman and Bane going heads-up in the movie’s final battle.
