Ashley Tisdale has been tapped to play in the spoof horror movie Scary Movie 5.

Yesterday, June 4th, the Weinstein Company announced that the former Disney star has been picked to play one of the lead roles in the fifth installment of the Scary Movie franchise.

Tisdale is best known for her hit role as Sharpay Evans in the Emmy Award-winning High School Musical franchise. The first two shows eclipsed cable television records and as a result, Walt Disney Pictures released the third project as a feature film. | Full Story
