As filming for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues wrapped up in Atlanta, and began in New Your City, some big cameo spoilers have emerged from the mediasphere.

Already gearing up for his return as Hans Solo in the upcoming Star Wars  film, Harrison Ford has been cast as a well-known newscaster in the upcoming sequel Anchorman 2.

Ford will be playing the legendary Tom Brokaw, in the Will Ferrell led comedy. Perhaps his previous role as an anchorman in the 2010 Morning Glory will help with the preparation. Shooting for the comedy will begin this month in Atlanta. | Full Story

Just when you thought Anchorman: The Legend Continues couldn’t get any better, Kristen Wiig joins the mix. Anchorman’s original leading lady, Christina Applegate, tweeted last night that she is “So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for Anchorman 2.”

It was rumored that Wiig would be joining the cast, as Who Got The Role reported back in December. Per Deadline.com, her role was officially confirmed last night by co-star Applegate, as well as an insider at Paramount. | Full Story

Anchorman 2 preliminary production is shaping up and it looks as though a major casting has come into fruition. Bridesmaids star, Kristen Wiig has signed on take on the KVWN-TV boys in the Anchorman sequel.

Wiig is set to appear in the highly anticipated Anchorman 2, which is the sequel to the 2004 Will Ferrell comedy about a 70s San Diego news anchor named Ron Burgundy. Christina Applegate has signed up to join Will Ferrell in Anchorman 2. The actress’ reps recently confirmed Applegate’s return as Veronica Corningstone. The Anchorman 2 sequel has been the talk of the town as of late, with Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner all on board to star in the upcoming film.

A second Anchorman 2 trailer has made its way on the web despite the fact a script has not been completed and all the cast has not been assembled yet.

Filming hasn’t begun either,  but fans can still get hyped off the two new trailers that  feature Channel Four’s crazy news team. Since actual film footage won’t be shot until February, moviegoers will have to settle for a plot-less teaser which only aims to build excitement about riding the palomino stallion. | Full Story

The sequel, Anchorman: The Legend Continues will feature again the beloved Channel 4 news team of Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner. ‘Anchorman 2′: Will Ferrell Confirms The Sequel Is Coming!

Anchorman 2  has been given the go-ahead, according to an announcement made by Will Ferrell himself on last night’s edition of ‘Conan’.

While appearing in character and playing a jazz flute, Ferrell broke the news about the long-awaited Anchorman sequel getting the green light:

“As of oh-nine-hundred hours Mountain Time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel for ‘Anchorman.’ It is official: There will be a sequel to ‘Anchorman.’”

The funny-man actor then played more of his  jazz flute as he rolled off stage  into the curtains. | Full Story
