Cedric the Entertainer Becomes New Host of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’

Comedian Cedric the Entertainer recently announced his new position as host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

He will begin hosting this fall as he replaces Meredith Vieira, who anchored the popular game show for 11 seasons after the launch of the weekday version in 2002.

Vierira recently went public with her decision to retire as host, stating that she is ready to pursue other opportunities.

According to USA Today, Millionaire’s viewing audience is down 10 percent from last year and noticeably lagging behind competing shows such as Family Feud, which is hosted by fellow comedian Steve Harvey. | Full Story

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Leaving ‘The View’

What is going on over on The View? Earlier this week, WhoGotTheRole.com reported that Joy Behar has decided to leave the ABC daytime talk series The View after delivering 16 years of no nonsense advice on the show.  Well now rumors are swirling that Elizabeth Hasselbeck will also be leaving. Except unlike Behar, who chose to leave by her own accord, it seems according to US Weekly Hasselbeck’s exit may not be voluntary.

According to the report, market research shows that viewers found the “conservative Hasselbeck too extreme and right-wing.” No official comment has been released by ABC. | Full Story

Joy Behar Out Of ‘The View’

Joy Behar will not be enjoying The View for much longer.

The 70-year-old comedian/talk show host announced she will be leaving the ABC daytime talk show in August after 16 long years as a co-host. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Behar’s contract will expire at the end of the season and she has elected not to renew it in order to pursue other projects.

Chlyer Leigh is jumping from one plane crash to another. Leigh’s character, Lexie Grey, was killed off of Grey’s Anatomy in a tragic plane crash last May. Now, about a year later, she will be the victim of another plane crash – only this time she actually walks away.
