‘A Good Day to Die Hard’ Takes Over Box Office

Bruce Willis’ most recent sequel to the Die Hard franchise, A Good Day to Die Hard, became a President’s Day weekend box office hit with $25 million.

The previous movie in the series, Live Free or Die Hard, managed to gross $33,369,559 on its opening weekend back in 2007. For its five-day debut, A Good Day to Die Hard will likely make under $40 million, which is slightly disappointing due to the franchise’s strong history and marketing effort. | Full Story

‘Safe Haven’ and ‘Die Hard’ Close Call This Weekend at Box Office

Looks like many spent their Valentine’s day in the movie theater. Both new films that opened on the most romantic day of the year, Safe Haven and Die Hard were a very close call in the box office.

However, while both opened to good numbers, they weren’t great, both films fell short of their initial estimated number in sales. ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’ TV Spots Orchestrate A Symphony Of Action

Twentieth Century Fox Film has released two new TV spots for A Good Day to Die Hard, and if you like the sounds of explosions, collisions, gunfire, and breaking glass, this should be music to your ears.

The dialogue is stripped down more than usual in the first TV spot, even though hearing Bruce Willis say “Yippie Ki-Yay!”  was unforgettable. The second commercial  has a little more vocals, but just like the first TV spot, there is no shortage of action packed scenes. | Full Story

I suppose this means that John McClane will be going to Russia in his next film. Hey, remember he was just a cop? Someone who probably would not be going to Russia on a mission? When he was a normal human being, and thus his action scenes had some kind of dramatic weight? Jai Courtney To Play Bruce Willis’ Son In Upcoming ‘Die Hard’ Movie

Jai Courtney has been selected to play Jack McClane, the son of John McClane (Bruce Willis’ Character), in the fifth Die Hard film, A Good Day to Die Hard.

A Good Day to Die Hard takes place in Moscow, where John McClane is reunited with his estranged son Jack. According to a press release by Fox, “Jack may even be more of a hardass than his father. Despite their differences, they must work together to keep each other alive – and the world safe for democracy.”
