Steve Harvey Brings Talk Show With Funny Male Viewpoint To Chicago

Steve Harvey will be hosting a new syndicated daytime talk show in Chicago.

The Original Kings of Comedy comedian says the NBC production will bring his comedic style,  and center around the male perspective of real everyday topics such as marriage, parenting, relationships and navigating the modern workplace.

“There’s not a lot of male viewpoint on daytime TV. I’ve got kids. I have a wife. I think that’s a unique perspective. Above all else, there’s nobody in daytime TV that can beat me at the funny thing – except Ellen DeGeneres. She’s my girl. I love her. Other than Ellen, I think I’m the guy who’s gonna put more funny on television.”

Harvey’s show won’t be rolling out the red carpet for celebrities though. The Family Fued host plans on using normal people to inspire his audience.

“This show is going to be “real people” driven. I’ve been hosting Family Feud for almost 400 episodes. Not one single family has canceled. Celebrities cancel all the time… Celebrities don’t come on TV to be very open about anything. They come on to promote stuff. I want a show that’s going to inspire people and uplift people.”

Steve Harvey did not reveal the title of his talk show nor a date when it will be aired.

His viewpoint is so unique that it should stay at home between him and his family. His morning radio show is clear evidence of a man who loves to hear himself speak. I am disgusted that his book is being portrayed as a tool for women to use to understand men. Even though he has clarified the book is just one man’s take, he’d be the dumbest person on earth to believe that his public position would not lend influence in a book written on such an important topic that causes a lot of frustration for women. My wife read that book, and man, we argued for weeks and I didn’t even know she had read his book until a boiling point where she blurted out something like, “you’re nothing like Steve Harvey.” Oh yeah, SHE is sleeping on the couch for that one. But seriously, listen to his radio show in the morning, watch him on Family Feud and look back at some of his stand-up videos. The man is full of himself. Now he has an additional TV talk show? Is this the best thing that wealthy people could invest in?
