Dayo Okeniyi, who played Thresh in The Hunger Games, has landed two new roles in upcoming projects.
The first film the actor has signed on to is an indie drama titled The Spectacular Now, which is an adaptation of a novel by Tim Tharp.
According to the movie synopsis, The Spectacular Now centers on “a charismatic high school senior who lives only for the moment.” This film will be directed by James Ponsoldt and already has a cast that already includes Shailene Woodley, Milles Teller and Brie Larson.
The other movie that The Hunger Games star was cast in is Runner, Runner. Runner, Runner is based on the offshore online gaming industry and is based on a tense relationship between a business founder (Ben Affleck) and his protege (Justin Timberlake).
Brad Furman is directing the this film and Leonardo DiCaprio is producing. Okeniyi will play a Princeton PhD student who is good with numbers.
