Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to play in the supernatural thriller Horns. Horns is based on the New York Times best-seller novel of the same name by Joe Hill.
The film centers on Ig Perrish (Radcliffe), as the main suspect in a violent rape and murder of his own girlfriend. Thereafter, he grows horns on his head that grant him all kinds of powers. Even more intriguing, the horns have magical powers to get people to confess their sins. This tool would help him find the real killer.
The press release for the film says, “This rock and roll infused dark fantasy explores why bad things happen to good people, and what the loss of true love can do to a man.”
Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D) will direct the movie, Red Granite Pictures and Mandalay Pictures will produce and filming will begin to shoot in September.
