Yesterday, Angela Bassett announced on her Facebook that she joined Gabby Sidibe in the upcoming Greg Araki directed film, White Bird In A Blizzard.
The actress posted:
“Filming the new Gregg Araki movie today with Gabby Sidibe, very excited!”
White Bird In A Blizzard is an upcoming feature which is based on a novel of the same name by Laura Kasischke. The film will tell the story of a troubled young woman whose life changes following the strange disappearance of her mother. | Full Story

Have you seen Django? Quentin Tarantino has (he’s seen everything, though, of course). Sergio Corbucci’s 1966 spaghetti western has inspired scores of imitators over the years. In fact, there are numerous films that straight up reused the character of Django, so iconic did that gunslinger become. Django Unchained will no doubt be many things, but at its heart, it is the latest Django rip-off. Which is something that Tarantino has done knowingly and lovingly, as you can tell from the fact that this trailer ends with the trills of the theme song to the original film. | Full Story
Legendary filmmaker James Cameron recently discussed the future of the Avatar franchise, and the upcoming Avatar 2 film, which will begin filming in 2013.
While attending the New Zealand premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Cameron revealed that he’s currently completing the scripts for the next two Avatar films, and is slated to have both finished by February.
“I want to get these scripts nailed down,” says Cameron. “I don’t want to be writing the movie in post production. | Full Story
The best film trilogy of modern times isn’t The Lord of the Rings. It’s South Korean director Park Chan-wook’s Vengeance Trilogy. These three movies, while not connected by story, share a few actors and the theme of bloody, horrifying revenge. They are each their own kind of masterpiece, and, as always with foreign hits, American remakes of all of them have been in the works for a few years now. The most well-known of these remakes is the Spike Lee-directed, Josh Brolin-starring Oldboy, which recently wrapped filming. Oldboy is widely considered the best of the Trilogy, but Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, released in the US as Lady Vengeance, deserves attention. | Full Story
Christopher Nolan hasn’t wasted any time in letting audiences know his role in the very recent (and very lucrative) Batman trilogy has concluded with The Dark Knight Rises. A recent article from TotalFilm.com has claimed the famed director’s story regarding Bruce Wayne and crime fighting has ultimately finished.

Okay, so another bloodsucker tale tossed onto the pile isn’t exactly scintillating. But what if it’s directed by Joe Carnahan? Huh? How about that? …No? Hrm, you’re right. So this was a whole load of news for me. First: Disney is making a live-action remake of Cinderella. Completely unsurprising (there’s a live-action movie starring Sleeping Beauty antagonist Maleficent coming down the pipe as well), but I was unaware of this. Second: Mark Romanek will be directing the film. Which I find severely disappointing, as I’d rather the man devote his time and energy to something… what’s the word… interesting. | Full Story
Hollywood producers and directors are always being sued after people accuse them of stealing story lines or plots for films. The Matrix and Terminator franchises lost a major lawsuit and settled out of court for an undisclosed amount, after a woman by the name of Sophia Stewart accused the company of copyright infringement. Stewart claimed they turned down her concepts but made the films without her consent.
Yesterday, in a Philadelphia federal court, a woman by the Terri Donald filed a lawsuit against Tyler Perry and Lionsgate Entertainment saying that they stole her plot for his film Good Deeds. | Full Story

Muscle man Terry Crews along with three other has signed on to star in Tyler Perry next movie Single Mom’s Club.
Single Mom’s Club is based on a group of single mothers from different backgrounds who comes together via an incident at their children’s school. This event leads to the creation of a support group that helps all of them overcome their personal obstacles.
