Lee Daniels’ The Paperboy has received its U.S. theaters release date.
The film is a thriller set in 1969, and is based on the story of a young man who go back to his little hometown in Florida to help his brother, who is a reporter, learn the truth about a might-be-innocenct man on death row. In the process of working, he develops an attraction for the convict’s lover. As a result, conflict, danger, lying, seduction and betrayal follows.
“I feel so blessed that Millennium will be releasing The Paperboy in the U.S,” said Daniels. “They have been with me since the very beginning of this journey, and I know they will make sure this movie gets the best possible exposure. My amazing cast and crew worked so hard to make this project, and I am honored that Millennium will be bringing my movie to American audiences.”
The movie stars Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, David Oyelowo, Macy Gray and John Cusack. The Paperboy slated to hit theaters Oct. 5, 2012
