The Justice League may be hitting the big screen soon, depending on how successful Zack Synder’s Man of Steel does this summer in the box office.
The League will be comprised of the original five heroes; Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and The Green Latern. Warner Bros. President Jeff Robinov, stated that, “giving the thumbs up on Justice League depends on how well Zack Synder’s Man of Steel does at the box office this summer,” according to Collider.com.
It was also said that the studio hesitated with going further with the film because the outcome of the Green Latern movie. Green Latern was a disappointment both commercially and critically, which brought it to a tragic end. The film became the first Warner Bros. superhero release following the 2009 restructuring that created DC Entertainment. The same flop happened with Superman Returns back in 2006.
If Man of Steel doesn’t work this year then there will be no Justice League in 2015
Man of Steel will soar its way into theaters on June 13, 2013.
