On this week’s episode of Bates Motel, Romero decides to take action; Norman brings Emma to the dance; Norman gets a ride home from Miss Watson.

Bates Motel serves as a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film, “Psycho”, and promises to give viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates’ psyche unravels through his teenage years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted backstory and learn first hand just how deeply intricate his relationship with his mother, Norma, truly is and how she helped forge the most famous serial killer of them all.

After the death of her husband, Norma Bates purchases a motel on the outskirts of the coastal town of White Pine Bay, on the hunt of a new start. As Norma and Norman get use in their surroundings, they find out the new town isn’t quite what it seems, and the local community aren’t ready to let them in on their secrets. The Bates’ response is to do whatever it takes to survive – and take guard to protect their own secrets.

On this week’s Mike & Molly season 3, episode 23 “Windy City,” Mike and Carl get stuck working at the Renaissance Faire after their boss, Patrick, gets dumped by Mike’s mother. Later, as a tornado descends on Chicago, Mike and Molly each confess important news to each other.

Mike & Molly is a comedy about a working class Chicago couple who find love at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting. Officer Mike Biggs is a good-hearted cop who sincerely wants to lose weight. Mike’s partner, Officer Carl McMillan, is a thin, fast-talking wise-guy who, despite his teasing, encourages Mike on his road to slimness and romance. While speaking at an O.A. meeting, Mike meets Molly Flynn, an instantly likeable fourth-grade teacher with a good sense of humor about her curves.

For Molly, focusing on smart choices isn’t easy while living with her sexy older sister, Victoria, and their mother, Joyce, both of whom flaunt their effortless figures while indulging their healthy appetites right in front of her. Mike also faces temptation at the diner he and Carl frequent, where they’ve become friends with a Senegalese waiter, Samuel, to whom dieting is a foreign concept. Mike and Molly found each other in the most unexpected of places. Now, they’re about to find out where their quest for companionship will take them.

On tonight’s episode of Hawaii Five-0 season 3, episode 24 “Aloha. Malama Pono (Farewell and Take Care),” when a plane lands on Oahu with four bodies on board and a missing terrorist detainee, the CIA tasks Five-0 with finding him before he carries out an attack on U.S. soil. Meanwhile, Kono is on the run from the police for a murder she did not commit, and McGarrett’s prison visit to Wo Fat ends with a shocking discovery.

Hawaii Five-0 is an updated remake of the 1968 original series, Detective Steve McGarrett returns home to Oahu to investigate his father’s murder and Hawaii’s governor convinces him to stay and head up a new team with no rules and no red tape. Detective Danny “Danno” Williams joins the team in order to keep the island safe for his 8-year old daughter. Also joining the team is Chin Ho Kelly who was wrongfully accused of corruption and Chin’s cousin Kono who is fresh out of the academy. While running the team, McGarrett also tries to repair his relationship with his estranged sister Mary Ann and continues to look for closure on his father’s case.

Rules Of Engagement revolves around two couples and their single friends, all at different stages in their relationships, deal with the complications of dating, commitment and marriage. “Rules Of Engagement” is a comedy about the different phases of male/female relationships, as seen through the eyes of an engaged couple, Adam and Jennifer; a long-time married pair, Jeff and Audrey; a single guy on the prowl, Russell; and his office assistant, Timmy. As they find out, the often confusing stages of a relationship can seem like being on a roller coaster: people can describe them to you, but to really know what it’s like, you have to take a ride for yourself.

On this week’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager season 5, episode 22 “When Bad Things Happen to Bad People,” Adrian is devastated by Omar’s decision and takes her pain out on Ricky and Jack. If you were anticipating the return of Seth MacFarlane as host for the Academy Awards, I’m afraid I have some bad news.

MacFarlane will not reprise the host position at the Oscars this March.  On Monday, The Family Guy creator broke the news via Twitter, tweeting, “Traumatized critics exhale: I’m unable to do the Oscars again. Tried to make it work schedule-wise, but I need sleep” McFarlane added “However, I highly recommend the job, as Zadan and Meron are two of the most talented producers in the business.”

MacFarlane was referring to Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who produced the show in February and will again do the job in 2014.

A representative for MacFarlane said the star’s tweet “is our only comment” and would not confirm whether or not the producers had officially asked the actor-filmmaker to host again.

No replacement has been identified by Zadan or Meron, but MacFarlane nominated Joaquin Phoenix to take over the hosting job. Phoenix’s nomination, however, was probably done in sarcasm since the actor previously insisted he would by no means be interested in that “carrot.”

As filming for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues wrapped up in Atlanta, and began in New Your City, some big cameo spoilers have emerged from the mediasphere.

Will Ferrell was spotted on the New York set over the weekend — but that’s not surprising since it’s been well reported Anchorman 2 would bring back the original Channel 4 News team, which aside from Ferrell, includes Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner.

What is tantalizing news, however, is that both Drake and Kanye West were also spotted on the NY set sporting ’70s-style Afros and mutton chops. It’s unclear what role either rapper will play in the comedy, but several reports suggested several big names are attached to the film.

Other guest stars include Kristen Wiig, Amy Poehler, Jim Carrey, Tina Fey, Christina Applegate, and Harrison Ford.

So, mark your calendars because all the Anchorman 2  hilarity is set to bust out in theaters on December 22.

This is another one of those movies I really wish I’d caught while I was at Sundance this year, when it was originally titled Toy’s House. This new trailer really sells the modern-day Stand By Me, truth-of-adolescence vibe that it seems to be going for. Plus, Nick Offerman deadpanning is always nice.

Joe Toy (Nick Robinson), on the verge of adolescence, finds himself increasingly frustrated by his single father, Frank’s (Nick Offerman) attempts to manage his life. Declaring his freedom once and for all, he escapes to a clearing in the woods with his best friend, Patrick (Gabriel Basso), and a strange kid named Biaggio (Moises Arias). He announces that they are going to build a house there, free from responsibility and parents. Once their makeshift abode is finished, the three young men find themselves masters of their own destiny, alone in the woods.

The court of Henry VIII meets a galaxy far, far away. Latino Review has the scoop that Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been approached for a role in the upcoming Star Wars movie. Generally, such rumors are unreliable, except this guy seems to never ever be wrong about this sort of thing (he had it that Harrison Ford was coming back before anyone else, if you’ll remember).

This casting makes sense, since Meyers worked with Episode VII director J.J. Abrams on Mission: Impossible III. Presumably, everyone had a good time, and Abrams wants to work with him again.

There’s no news on what kind of role Meyers will play, although I really hope that it isn’t a leading one. He is, after all, a Boring White Man, and I have tired of Boring White Men as the leads of blockbusters. I can’t for the life of me remember what he did on MI3. I never watched The Tudors, because, well, it was on Showtime. Gross. Anyway, hopefully the next casting announcement for this movie will be more interesting.
