Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje To Play Slave In ‘Pompeii’

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Signs Up For Slave Gladiator Role In Pompeii

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is the latest to join director Paul W.S. Anderson’s period piece Pompeii. A film, that sounds remarkably similar to Ridley Scott’s Gladiator, but I will try my best to ignore that and stay on topic.

The British actor joins cast members Kit Harington, Kiefer Sutherland and Emily Browning. He will play an enslaved gladiator who comes to the rescue of Harington’s character.

Pompeii is set in AD 79 Rome and tells the tale of an enslaved gladiator played by Harington who faces the Tyrant played by Sutherland who years before murdered his entire family and now threatens to steal his lover played by Emily Browning. | Full Story
