Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen are set to join the cast of Scary Movie 5, the latest installment of the hard to kill horror film spoof franchise.
Studio Dimension Films have not officially confirmed either actor’s casting, but according to a report by E!, it’s pretty much a done deal.
Sheen is returning to the franchise after staring in Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4, however, it is unclear whether he will be playing the same character. | Full Story

Christian Bale has entered talks to secure a role in Todd Field’s The Creed of Violence, a film based on Boston Teran’s acclaimed novel of the same name.
Staged during 1910, The Creed of Violence takes place at the time of the Mexican Revolution and tells the violent story of two men named Rawbone and John Lourdes. The unlikely duo is embroiled in a bloody battle against a ruthless Mexican gang. | Full Story
Will Ferrell must love to do movies with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. The Anchorman star has crossed paths with the two in other movies such as Wedding Crashers, Zoolander, Starsky & Hutch, Anchorman and Old School. Now, Ferrell has join the duo in the upcoming comedy The Internship.
According to a source, Ferrell will play the brother-in-law to Wilson’s character. The source added that, Ferrell’s character “has no problem making inappropriate comments about his attractive customers.”

Terrence Howard has signed on to star in upcoming film A Girl and a Gun.
According to Deadline, “the Oscar nominee will play Ian, a hustler with big Hollywood dreams who’s going nowhere fast until he intervenes in a mugging and get pulled in to a world of intrigue.”
A Girl and a Gun will also star Killer Joe’s Juno Temple, Christopher Walken and Luis Guzmán, and Filip Jan Rymsza will direct from a script that he wrote. | Full Story

Fox Searchlight has just added Academy Award winning actress Octavia Spencer to the cast of David Talbert’s Baggage Claim. The cast includes Paula Patton, Taraji P. Henson, Idris Elba, Montana Moore, William Wright and Derek Luke.
Patton will lead the cast as a flight attendant who is the oldest unmarried sibling in her family, so she embarks on a journey to find a groom before her sister gets hitched. The studio havent release any details about which role Spencer will play. | Full Story
Lionsgate has just announced that Lynn Cohen has been cast as Mags in The Hunger Games: Catching fire. Mags is the 80-year-old former mentor to Finnick Odair who represented District 4 in the games.
Catching Fire will begin with Katniss Everdeen returning home safe after winning the Hunger Games along with Peeta Mallark. Winning means that they must abandoned their family and friends and embark on the Victor’s Tour of the districts. | Full Story
Christopher Eccleston has just learned that he will play the villain in Thor 2. The actor will star as Malekith, a supervillain and ruler of the Dark Elves.
Malekith possesses superhuman intellect, strength, speed, stamina, reflexes and has the ability to morph into other identities. God-like in nature, his powers equal those of the hammer wielding Thor.

Earlier in the week we posted a story that Laurence Fishburne was in negotiations to play in Hannibal. Well, the Matrix star has recently agreed to star in the the pivotal role of Jack Crawford in the human flesh eating TV series Hannibal.
Crawford is the Agent-in-Charge of the Behavioral Science Unit of the FBI in Quantico, Virginia. According to sources, Fishburne’s character is described as a “tough cop who seems to have been born to hunt serial killers and lacking the type of empathy that informs the lives of both Will and Hannibal and knows he needs Will to be his bird-dog. | Full Story
