This is evident in his upcoming project After Earth, where daddy Smith plays a background to son’s lead in the film. The X Factor has had enough of a reality star that just couldn’t shine on live TV. Fox confirmed reports that Khloé Kardashian Odom will not be needed for hosting duties on the popular singing competition show.

Chadwick Boseman, the star of the Jackie Robison biopic 42, is now being courted to star in the upcoming Ivan Reitman’s film Draft Day.
Boseman is being sought to play Vontae Mack, an outside Louisiana linebacker, whose athleticism is only overshadowed by his big personality. Vontae is a lively, principled, smart, audacious, big-hearted young man who has a direct line to Sonny, who’s very interested in his talent. Warner Bros.’ new heist film Focus has been plagued with so many casting problems and for a moment it looked like Will Smith and Kristen Stewart would be locking lips as the film leads.
The screenplay from Crazy Stupid Love authors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa originally constructed the roles for Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, but due to scheduling conflicts they were unable to do the film. The roles were subsequently given to Ben Affleck and Stewart. | Full Story
Michael Bay has just announced that Stanley Tucci has agreed to join Transformers 4. Bay delivered the news on the Paramount panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas Tuesday morning.
Tucci will be working with co-stars Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz. Paramount Studios is still in the process of putting together the cast of the untitled sequel, so expect more updates as the cast is assembled.
Details of the screenplay and plot points have not been revealed, but Comingsoon reported that Bay hinted at a chase sequence in the film calling it a “Chase From Hell.”

Tony Goldwyn is the last main ingredient to be added to the casting soup of Summit Entertainment’s Divergent movie. He’ll take on the role of Andrew Prior, father to Shailene Woodley’s teenage character, Beatrice Prior.
Aside from Woodley, Goldwyn (who plays President Fitzgerald Grant on the ABC’s Scandal) will work alongside a cast consisting of Ashley Judd, Kate Winslet, Jai Courtney, Theo James, Zoë Kravitz, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, and Ansel Elgort. | Full Story

It seems as though famed film legend Christopher Nolan enjoyed working with Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises. He’s asked the actress ,who played Selina/ Catwoman, to return in his newest project, Interstellar. Details on her role are limited, but we do know she’ll be opposite Matthew McConaughey.
As seen on Deadline.com, there’s no official log line for Interstellar just yet. After considerable set backs, the indie film Jane got A Gun moved back into the production phase after Bradley Cooper agreed to join the cast. Cooper is replacing Jude Law, who abandoned the film after original director Lynne Ramsay dropped out of the project due to creative differences.
