Paula Abdul is the latest host to come under The X Factor ax, following the ousting of fellow co-judge Nicole Scherzinger and host  Steve Jones.

The reality show star released a statement confirming her exit from the singing competition series.  Fox and X Factor‘s almost-last-man-standing Simon Cowell released supportive statements immediately after Abdul’s.

Paula Abdul said in her statement:

Susan Sarandon Gets Role on The Big C

Susan Sarandon is joining the Showtime series ”The Big C”  for a multi-episode arc, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Oscar-winning actress will play Joy, a cancer survivor who befriends Laura Linney’s cancer afflicted character Cathy. Joy uses “her cancer experience in a unique way trying to inspire other people,” says creator Darlene Hunt. “She makes Cathy question whether she’s doing enough with her own cancer experience.”

The movie “Trouble with the Curve”, which stars Clint Eastwood, will hit theaters on September 28.

“Trouble with the Curve” is about an aging baseball scout with eyesight troubles who talks his daughter into going on one last scouting trip to Atlanta with him.

‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 2 Trailer Released

The highly anticipated return of HBO’s hit drama “Game Of Thrones” for a second season is just around the corner. With the series’ April 1 premiere drawing near, HBO has released the most explicit trailer so far.

Narrated by the scheming eunuch, Varys (Conleth Hill), the minute-long clip previews many of the conflicts set to erupt in the upcoming season.

Extracting from “The Game of Thrones” trailer, we can see that recently crowned King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) continues his cruel immature reign, threatening to kill Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) in front of his court; a clothed and dragon-less Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) makes her own claim to the throne; and Tyrion “The Imp” Lannister (Emmy and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage) plots to take control as the King’s Hand, explaining that he understands how “the game is played.”

Young Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), in wake of the shocking death of her father Ned Stark (Sean Bean),  reminds viewers: “Anyone can be killed.”

“Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” which stars Cruise and Jeremy Renner has made over $200 million in North America and $369 million internationally as of Sunday, January 29. That total has outgrossed “Mission: Impossible 2″, which made $546.4 million globally.
